Information security

Expand your knowledge of information security - both at work and at home. Because your behavior not only has an impact on your own data and access, but also on that of colleagues and friends.

Information security can be learned in exciting ways, for example:
Attend our training courses during the Information Security Weeks or watch one of our training videos.

Information security is not secret knowledge. Anyone can learn it, for example:
How do I recognize a phishing email? Are there secure alternatives to certain applications or services on the Internet, for example for secure document exchange?

Information security presents you with challenges, for example:
When dealing securely with cloud services. As an employee, you need to ensure that you not only promote your own information security, but also that of those around you.

On this website you will find helpful tips, links and courses to strengthen your information security skills.

And if something does go wrong or you think something is suspicious?

If you suspect that your computer or system is infected:

  • Disconnect the network cable immediately or deactivate the WLAN.

Notify the ITS contact point at the IT Service Center:

If you suspect something, react as quickly as possible to protect yourself and your data and to contribute to the university's information security.

Remember: information security is an issue that concerns us all.

Information security starts with each individual - only by handling data responsibly can we protect what matters.
