Setting up and editing websites – CMS support
Your own homepage is like a digital business card. You can use it to provide information about the courses you offer, your own research, project progress and much more. We would be happy to support you with our content management system "Fiona" or "Scrivito".

If you need support, please use our support form. In order to be able to offer you the best possible support, we ask you to follow these instructions:
- Specify the Exact Path: In every email, include the exact path in the CMS where your issue occurs. This is necessary even if we have previously discussed the issue.
- Provide Contact Information: At the bottom of each email, include a contact person and telephone number. This helps us reach you quickly if we have any questions.
- Avoid Abbreviations: Please avoid using abbreviations and terms that may be clear to you but not to others.
- Describe the Problem Clearly: Describe the problem as
precisely and comprehensibly as possible. Include details about what the issue
is, when and where it occurs, and under what circumstances. Remember,
we do not have your (department) background information.
To grant you or your employees access and write permissions in the CMS, your personal user ID must be activated.
If an ID needs to be reactivated, this can be done through the ITS self-service portal, typically managed by the chair secretariats or the responsible organizational unit.
In a few exceptional cases (e.g., higher-level admin groups), activation must be handled by us. Please send us an email request with the corresponding user ID and specify the area in the CMS where activation is required.
Before using the CMS, we offer introductory training events. The training courses are currently taking place in person on campus again. After registering in e-learning, all participants will be informed of the room by email one to two days before the course date.

You will receive information about planned maintenance work, system outages and general information about the content management system at the University of Bayreuth via the CMS mailing list. We therefore recommend that all CMS editors sign up for this newsletter.
